Oftentimes, as leaders, we spend a lot of our time insuring that the company is improving, that the team are getting better and anyone is pulling in unison and delivering results.
However, at times we are too focused on driving results that we miss the opportunity of an important element of leadership; personal development. My thought of the week is that as leaders we need to be asking our team what can we do to do better and how we can personally do a better job? Don’t let your title get in the way of believing you have all the answers. The feedback can make a real difference if we listen and then act to improve. The reality is that if you are not aware of your opportunity areas you can not improve them. Ask, evolve and get better.
