This month we have seen the worst of our political leadership. We can learn a lot from how things have unfolded. It does not matter which political party you support, playing with peoples lives should be seen as utterly out of bounds.

In life, as in business, the win/lose mindset is a zero sum game. We are better served when we seek positive outcomes instead of seeking alienation of the other side.

So my thought of the week is regardless of your position you should never play with other people’s lives. If you would do that you simply do not have the right to lead. In business, winning companies are those who respect all and demonstrate character. You put your people first. They are not bargaining chips. They are your #1 asset. Make sure you honor your team and set a positive example for others to emulate.
